Permanent exhibition
On the shores of Lake Herastrau, right in the middle of Romania's capital, visitors from all over the world have the joy of encountering a real "village", with monuments and artifacts from the 17th century to the early 20th century. Representative buildings from important ethnographic areas have been given a second life in the National Village Museum "Dimitrie Gusti".

Beyond the exceptional heritage included in the permanent exhibition of vernacular architecture, the National Village Museum "Dimitrie Guști" always brings up to date testimonies of folk creation, illustrated with the help of folk craftsmen, who through traditional technique and tools specific to the genre of creation they represent, demonstrate how the objects of yesteryear became.

Inn
At "La Bariera" Inn, also known as "La Francu" in the premises of the National Village Museum "Dimitrie Guști", we are waiting for you to taste traditional Romanian dishes, cooked with passion and picturesque, as in the country kitchen, or just to have a coffee and enjoy a seasonal pie while enjoying the beauty of nature in all four seasons. The Inn is open during the Museum visiting hours - Monday - 9.00 - 17.00. Tuesday - Sunday - 9.00 am - 7.00 pm (summer), Monday - Sunday - 9.00 am - 5.00 pm (winter). no smoking inside and outside the Inn!
