Yellow Inn, 19th century
Hanul Galben (The Yellow Inn) was built at the beginning of the 19th century, at the northern limit of Bucharest, an area with rural appearance, with rare houses, agricultural lands and range, and nowadays in this area, there is the crossing between the Banu Manta and Dr. Iacob Felix streets. The inn was situated on an important road connecting the city of Târgoviște with Bucharest, through here passing the producers countrymen and sellers coming to sell the products in the city.
The inn, called from the yellow colour of the badged walls, was a relatively low construction with the roof in the sheet, extended with a wide eave, construction continued with the main façade with a room closed with a glass partition. Keeping the documentation in archives, the descriptions and the images from that era allowed the reconstruction of this inn in the museum. The current project includes 13 rooms, three hallways, a terrace, a kitchen, two facilities and spaces for the restrooms.
Near the inn there is an oven for baking bread, rolls, pies and cakes.
