30th anniversary edition
The Association of the Religious Fine Art and Restoration Branch of the UAP in Romania is reuniting for the celebration of 30 years since its establishment and invites you with emotion and joy to participate in the exhibition event "ANNUAL OF RELIGIOUS ART 2024 - 30th Anniversary Edition" which will be held at the National Museum of the "Dimitrie Gusti" Village in Bucharest, traditional partner and co-organizer.
The event is intended to be a beautiful pretext to celebrate the celebration of the Lord's Entry into Jerusalem who willingly went to passion for our salvation, all of us, crucified our sins on the cross, freeing us.
At the same time, the Religious Art Annual is an occasion for a joyous meeting of visual artists, creators of religious art, restorers and other visual artists from the Romanian cultural space, constant collaborators of the exhibitions organized by our branch, with the latest creations specific to our guild , also outlining an overview of the evolution and trends in contemporary sacred art.
Professional visual artists will participate - AFAPRR members of the UAP from Romania, but also other members of the Union of Visual Artists from Romania or UNArte students, artists and/or restorers from museums, professional visual artists with important activity in the field of visual arts or restoration of cultural assets . Organized on Flower Day, the exhibition will try to promote young artists alongside established names of the guild in a note of diversity and freedom of expression, already established in the events of recent years.
During the Annual, the "In memoriam Mihai Dumitru" prize will be awarded for the first time, which will be awarded to a work with a religious theme/icon made by a young graduate/student/master's student of a fine arts faculty and will have a symbolic value.
It presents the art critic Marius Tița and the historian and theologian Florin Șerbănescu - patriarchal advisor, parish priest of the Church of St. Stelian - Lucaci in Bucharest.
The opening will take place on Palm Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at the National Museum of the "Dimitrie Gusti" Village, Şos. Kiseleff no. 30.
