National Conservation-Restoration Conference "Doina Darvaș" 19th edition
The National Museum of the "Dimitrie Gusti" Village is organizing the 19th edition of the "Doina Darvaș" National Conservation-Restoration Conference on November 6-7, 2025, with the theme Preservation of heritage - challenges and solutions.
The event is a good opportunity for specialists in heritage research, conservation and restoration to exchange experiences and present case studies, as well as solutions for common problems of cultural property protectors, which we want to draw attention to through the selected scientific contributions.
This year's conference, with the acronym CONScience 2025, includes the following sections:
- Case studies in conservation and restoration of built heritage
- Modern strategies in the conservation and restoration of mobile heritage
- Scientific laboratory research
The papers presented during the conference will be published in no. 19 of the bilingual conservation-restoration newsletter, RESTITUTIO, which will appear next year.
Also, during the event, on November 6, 2025, in the HHStahl Hall, the opening of the exhibition "Restitutions - The Universe of Childhood" will take place. The exhibition of preserved and restored cultural goods is organized in the context of declaring 2025 as the National Year of the Child in Romania. The exhibition also marks 50 years since the establishment of regional restoration laboratories in Romania.
