Childhood in the old village
The National Museum of the Dimitrie Gusti Village invites you on Saturday, June 1st, from 1:00 p.m., in Cantonul de Drum, to the opening of the exhibition Childhood in the Old Village. Visitors will have the opportunity to see how children were raised and educated in the village world. The exhibition does not aim to present an idyllic image of the Romanian village, where life was not easy at all. The children, under the supervision of adults, were educated in the spirit of respect for work, for traditions, and so many managed to become great personalities of culture, science, and the political world.
The exhibition will include different items of furniture: cradles, walkers, tables, chairs, toys, toy tools, carrying parts. The collection of objects is completed by images that illustrate how the exhibited objects were used, the games specific to children in the country, the participation in the rituals specific to traditional holidays.
The exhibition will be open from 1.06-1.07.2024, from Wednesday to Sunday between 10.00 and 18.00.
We are waiting for you!
