Exhibition "Romanian Art and Ceramics: Heritage of Humanity"

Portugal. The most distant from the former Roman Empire. The country bathed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Here, over time, many Romanians chose or were forced to live. We have a lot in common, starting with the word "longing" which finds its counterpart only in the Portuguese language, "saudade". In one of the most famous museums in the world, the Azulejo Museum in Lisbon, at the opening of the exhibition Romanian Art and Ceramics: Heritage of Humanity, we are talking about identity, about the soul, heritage and beauty, about color and humanity.

"This exhibition is a window to our culture and our country and an invitation to visit us, not only for the mountains, the Danube Delta, but also for our soul, to meet an old and original civilization," said conf. university Dr. Paula Popoiu, manager of the National Museum of Dimitrie Gusti Village, in front of the officials and guests present at the event organized in partnership with the Romanian Embassy in Portugal and ICR Lisbon.

13 costumes from the museum's collections are on display, representing all regions of the country, as well as ceramics.

"This exhibition is about femininity, about the Romanian peasant woman, the beauty and the soul of the house.", conf. Dr. Paula Popoiu, manager of the National Museum of Dimitrie Gusti Village.
