"longing and road" exhibition
The National Museum of the "Dimitrie Gusti" Village and the Union of Plastic Artists from Romania are pleased to invite you to the personal exhibition "longing and longing" of the plastic artists Nicu Dumitrescu and Dr. Elena Borundel, the titular members of the Subsidiary Association Religious Plastic Art and Restoration of UAP from Romania. The exhibition includes over 50 works by the 2 artists: from glass partitions, icons to dowry boxes.
""longing and road", the exhibition to which we invite you, has as its starting point longing, that is, that state of mind that each of us has in relation to childhood experiences, moments in which we unwittingly accumulate the information that will define our path in life. There are moments when we stop to see whether or not our path was the one we dreamed of as a child. Each of us said at least once "I miss..." and that's the moment when our memories drown. I think that the walls that I saw in my childhood in all the houses of the neighbors in the wonderful village on the Olt Valley have remained in my mind and now the time has come to transpose them on a material dear to me, glass, precisely because the result is part of my soul I think this means LEARN", declared the plastic artist Nicu Dumitrescu.
The opening will take place in the National Museum of the "Dimitrie Gusti" Village, sos. Pavel D. Kiseleff no. 30, Sala Donatorilor, Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. and will be presented by Dr. Marius Tita, art critic.
The exhibition can be visited between December 7, 2023 and January 8, 2024.
