The National Museum of the "Dimitrie Gusti" Village invites you to .... caroling. On December 10 and 11, 2022, we are waiting for you at the traditional cultural eventFestival of Christmas and New Year traditions and customs - We have come to carol the "Dalbe Flowers". As every year, groups of carolers, groups performing games with masks arrived from all corners of the country as well as ensembles of traditions and customs will revive the true traditions of winter in Romanian villages.
Saturday, December 10, 2022, starting at 12.00,we are waiting for you at onecarol concertsupported by the "Bujorelul" Caroling Group - Drăgăneşti, Olt, coordinator Prof. Florian Mărghidanu and the "Dor, lior dor" Ensemble of the Romanian Popular Music School - Bucharest, coordinator Prof. Narcisa Băleanu and Prof. Alin Rusu, Mehedinți and by folk music artists Crina Mihalache from Teleorman and Gabriel Dumitru from Argeș.
Sunday, December 11, 2022, starting at 11.00, we invite you toParade of Christmas and New Year customs which will start from the entrance from Sos. Kiseleff, no. 28 of our museum and will have the following route - Arc de Triumf - Sos. Kiseleff - National Museum of the Romanian Peasant - National Museum of Natural History "Grigore Antipa" - Sos. Kiseleff - Arch of Triumph - National Museum of the "Dimitrie Gusti" Village.From 14.00, visitors are expected in the museum to enjoythe mask games in the courtyards of the households in the museum, like in the village of old.
From the groups present, both in the Parade of Customs and in the courtyards of the households in the museum, we list:Carolers from Bârsana and Botiza– Maramureș,The "Cununiţa" and "Belciugarii" group– Ilva Mare, Bistrita-Năsăud county,The "Ursii din Preutesti" ensemble– Preutești, Neamț County, Datini Ensemble “Străjerii din Dolheşti” – Suceava,The group of carolers "Colindița"– Focșani, Vrancea (Carols). Special guest -Association for the promotion of history and medieval art "Lupus Dacus".
Those who want to buy gifts for their loved ones will find a rich offer for Santa's bag in the gift fair where there will be jams, sherbet, gingerbread and cookies, honey and muffins.
The folk craftsmen present at the fair will meet you with many objects made by them.
