The Festival of Traditions and Customs "The Yellow Flowers"
We invite you from December 9-10, 2023 to the Festival of Traditions and Customs "Florile Dalbe", a traditional event organized annually with the aim of presenting Christmas and New Year traditions.
Centuries old, carols represent the deep feelings of the peoples of these lands, passing the test of time and moving the souls of those who listen to them. The carols bring hope for the coming year, their period culminating with the Birth of the Savior Jesus Christ, through which joy entered the world.
On December 9, starting at 1:00 p.m., on the stage of the Victor Ion Popa Hall, we will listen to Fluierașii din Merișani (Teleorman), Beatrice Băndoiu (Gorj), the Flori Toplițene Group (Harghita), the "Dor, lior dor" Ensemble ” of the School of Romanian Popular Music (Bucharest).
On December 10, the groups of carolers will go to the museum in a parade that will take place starting at 11:00 a.m. and that will leave from the entrance in Șos. Kiseleff no. 28.
During the two days of the event, there will also be a fair of folk craftsmen with objects made by them, tasty and aromatic products from traditional gastronomy, as well as organic products. You can taste jams and sherbet, gingerbread and cakes, honey and scones. The fair will be open between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and access is by purchasing the museum entrance ticket.
