Creative camp "Summer on the street" - 31st edition

The National Museum of the "Dimitrie Gusti" Village invites you again, as every year, to the camp. The workshop street opens on Monday, July 10, at 10:00 a.m., and awaits its guests until August 4, 2023. The camp includes a wide range of activities through which children can spend their summer vacation in a friendly and rustic atmosphere, reminiscent of the courtyard of the grandparents in the country. The aim of the program is to instill in the little ones a love for tradition and culture and to take traditional crafts further. We combine the useful with the pleasant and hope that the participants will become more responsible and show more care for the national cultural heritage.

For 4 weeks, the children will work alongside folk craftsmen from all over the country, who will initiate them into the secrets of folk crafts: pottery, weaving, dyeing eggs, making dolls, folk ornaments, painting icons on wood and glass, folk dances, modeling in clay. The novelty of this edition of the camp consists in the addition of some workshops that in recent months have been appreciated by children, parents, and teachers alike: recycling, photography, journalism, storytelling and the creative workshop. Every Friday, the children will have a program of relaxation and good cheer.

The workshops are aimed at children between 4 and 18 years old. The participation fee is 300 lei/participant/week/workshop and includes the accompanying fee for children between 4 and 8 years old. The maximum number of children at a single workshop is 15.
