"Spring in the village" Târg de Martisor
We invite you from February 22 to March 7, 2021, from Monday to Sunday, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., to the Târgul de Marțișor entitled "Spring in the village" and organized on the occasion of the arrival of spring. As every year, folk craftsmen and visual artists will exhibit the most beautiful marigolds, which visitors can buy to give to their loved ones. One of the best-known harbingers of spring, the marigold suggests rebirth, purity and love, and the effort put into its making ennobles it and gives it meaning.
The tradition of Mărțișor has a considerable age. It is said that the person who wears an amulet is protected from evil and does well all year round. It can be worn on the hand, around the neck or on the lapel of the coat. In some regions of the country, martișoara are also offered to men.
In 2017, Martisorul was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, an element shared with Bulgaria, Macedonia and the Republic of Moldova.
Access to the event is based on the museum entrance ticket - 20 lei/adult, 10 lei/pensioner, 5 lei/pupil and student and in compliance with the orders in force regarding the prevention and combating of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
