"Other School at the Village Museum" Fifth Edition
The National Museum of the "Dimitrie Gusti" Village is carrying out, between March 20 and 31, 2017, the project"Other School... at the Village Museum"dedicated to extracurricular and extracurricular educational activities. Now in its 5th edition, this program brought over 90,000 children and trainers to the Village Museum with the aim of participating in interactive workshops and discovery visits, which allow the knowledge of the ethnological heritage.
Held at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, under the generic name"To know more, to be better!", PROGRAMaims to involve children, adolescents and teachers in activities that correspond to the various interests and concerns of children and to highlight their capacities in different fields.
This year brings novelties to the workshop schedule:Puzzle workshop(a game, consisting of identifying pieces that make up the Map of Romania, with the help of clues based on proverbs, sayings, involving movement and insight on the part of the children),creative workshops (Twine braids, Gardening workshop, Painted eggs),specialized thematic guides (consisting of detailed thematic guides on traditional occupations, like The wool thread route, the bread route, the folk art installations in the Village Museum),Workshop of Shadow theater(the songs "Luna lui Mărțişor", "At the museum with stories", "Moara", "Troita").
The museum education offer of the "Dimitrie Gusti" National Village Museum responds to the options and preferences of the target groups - school and preschool children - by organizing these creative workshops, as well as specialized thematic guides, which make this program a mini- camp, in the middle of spring. These are coordinated by folk craftsmen and specialists in museum education for the development of creativity, craftsmanship and the promotion of tangible and intangible heritage.
