Vasluiul lui Dimitrie Cantemir în colecțiile Muzeului Satului
Muzeul Național al Satului Dimitrie Gusti vă invită vineri, 12 mai, de la ora 12.00, la vernisajul expoziției Vasluiul lui Dimitrie Cantemir în colecțiile Muzeului Satului.
Anul acesta se împlinesc 300 de ani de la moartea lui Dimitrie Cantemir și 350 de ani de la nașterea sa. „Un erudit de faimă europeană, voievod moldovean, academician berlinez, prinț moscovit, un Lorenzo de Medici al nostru”, îl descria George Călinescu în Istoria Literaturii Romanian is the one who succeeded through historical, philosophical, literary, musical works, etc., to contribute to the universal culture, they enter the universal scientific-cultural and spiritual heritage. The scholar Dimitrie Cantemir, the philosopher prince, is the one who created the first Romanian encyclopedia, Descpriptio Moldaviae, written in Latin, the first complete and detailed work on the geography, political and administrative organization, religion, speech, slovenliness, ethnography and folklore of Moldavia. He is also the one who, through his musical works, shows the importance of musical folklore and popular traditions for the authenticity of Romanian culture, as well as the spiritual strength of our nation.
The exhibition aims to punctuate some of the moments of Dimitrie Cantemir's life, from his native Vaslui to Iași where he finds his eternal rest. A series of original documents from the Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs relating to the repatriation of the remains of Dimitrie Cantemir will also be presented. Also, within the "Dimitrie Cantemir Cultural Year", established by law by the Romanian Parliament,Romphilatelyjoins us in this endeavor and pays homage to the scholar, politician, erudite of European fame, Dimitrie Cantemir, with an anniversary postage stamp issue.
At the opening of the exhibition, which will take place in the Glass Hall of the National Museum of Dimitrie Gusti Village, historians, diplomats, researchers will be present, andtraditional music performer and radio show producer Lorena Oltean will present songs collected from Vaslui.
