About the inked egg:

The egg is the mother of forms, of all forms- Brancusi said. The dyeing of eggs is a craft of great sensitivity and refinement. The tradition of stamping is elevated to the level of art, a fact that can be observed in most regions of the country, but especially in Bucovina and Vrancea, where the decorative motifs from Romanian symbolism such as the spike, the leaf and the cross are preserved.
