Life, people and diversity of popular port in Venice Făgăraș
The National Museum of the Village "Dimitrie Gusti" together with the Cultural Association "Ioan Cavaler de Pușcariu" organizes the exhibition "Life, people and the diversity of the popular port of Venice Făgărașului".
The exhibition presents folk costumes from the village of Venice de Jos, Brașov county and photographs from the life of the village made by Dinu Constantin.
The locals from the village of Venice de Jos, Brașov County, are the heirs of an exceptional dress treasure for the Eastern area of Făgărașului Country, with unique folk port pieces and quite little known to the general public. In addition to the wonderful clothing exhibits, a series of photographs from the village life will be admired within the exhibition, largely taken in the draft documentation of the popular port "at home"- La Blouse Roumaine, by the experienced photographer Dinu Constantin.
"Like any photographic project, Musai tells a story, a story about people, about habits, about who they are really, about their origins, about inheritance, about inheritances that will be given. A story about what defines us, about what makes us unique, about a red thread to be left."
The opening will take place on June 26, 2021, at 1 pm and the exhibition can be visited between June 26 and July 25, 2021, from Wednesday to Sunday, between 10.00 and 18.00 at the Glod House inside the National Museum of the Village "Dimitire Gusti".
