Romanian Village Day
The "Dimitrie Gusti" National Village Museum invites you on September 29 to celebrate the Romanian Village Day together.
Established by Law no. 44/2020, Romanian Village Day is marked on the last Sunday of September each year.
And this time, you will be able to take part in various activities, aimed at highlighting the beauty of the Romanian village and its values.
The program will start at 9:00 a.m. when we invite you to a specific autumn fair. From 10.00 am, the little ones are expected in Gospodaria Drăguș for a clay modeling workshop. Those interested in traditions and history can participate in guided tours from 11.00 / 12.00, where the specialist staff of the museum will provide information about the "Maramureş of the past" and "Religious icons and monuments in the museum".
From 2 p.m., we invite you to Casa Glod, to the opening of the painting exhibition of the young artist Niculae Robert Constantin, at Scena Dumitra to "Joc si voie buona" with the Perinita Ensemble from Otopeni, and from 3 p.m., to Gospodaria Fundul Moldovei , at the presentation of the clothes collection signed by Oana Cristina Tănase.

Romanian Village Day program - September 29, 2024
1. 10 am - Clay modeling workshop
2. 11 a.m. - guided tour "Through Maramureș of yesteryear" - guide, Dr. Ala Movileanu (departure from the Arhondaric plateau, Kiseleff 28, groups of minimum 10 people and maximum 25)
3. Noon - guided tour "Funeral icons and monuments from the Village Museum" - guide, museographer Ioana Dobrescu (departure from Arhondaric plateau, Kiseleff 28)
4. 2 p.m. - "We invite you to the game!" let's dance together with the members of the Perinita Ensemble from Otopeni - Dumitra Stage -
5. 3 p.m. - presentation of the Oana Cristina Tănase collection (clothes for mothers and little girls made entirely of natural materials: linen, hemp, cotton) - Gospodaria Fundul Moldovei
